Katie Heraty
A bit about me
I graduated from the University of WI-Milwaukee with a Communication degree. After graduation, I worked as a top dog for the Oscar Mayer Wienermoble program and traveled across Western Canada implementing new products, PR campaigns and promotions. Following this incredible journey, I landed in Chicago and spent 15 years working in the exciting production department at The Oprah Winfery Show. I booked A-listers, coordinated partnerships, produced compelling content for the show and more. My experience with working on both sides of the media gives me a unique perspective as a PR professional. Since then, I've worked on PR campaigns for top consumer brands, non-for-profits, start-ups and industry experts. I have experience executing new product launches, working on communication strategies, booking talent, generating media placements, planning events, securing partnerships, and more.

I am passionate about the creative process, generating brand awareness, building relationships with the media, working with talent, creating content, storytelling and securing placements for our clients.
A favorite memory at CS-Effect
One of my favorite client experiences at CS Effect was working with celebrity pet vet, Dr. Barbara Royal on the launch of her book The Royal Treatment. I helped create media partnerships which resulted in long term relationships, media placements and regular segments on FOX.
My favorite things to do outside of work
When I'm not at work, I like volunteering, bike riding, spending time with my kids, coffee with friends and watching movies.
